Traditionally, a full-mouth rehabilitation based on full-crown coverage has been recommended treatment for patients affected by severe dental erosion. Nowadays, thanks to improved adhesive techniques, the indications for crowns have decreased and a more conservative approach may be proposed.

Riabilitazione minimamente invasiva su intarsi No Prep

La ricerca odontoiatrica negli ultimi anni si è stabilmente orientata verso la rigorosa preservazione del tessuto dentale anche al fine di tutelare gli stessi restauri artificiali. Con il presente articolo si intende dimostrare come sia possibile ricostruire intere arcate senza l’utilizzo di alcuna preparazione dentale. Si vuole altresì dimostrare come si possano realizzare, attraverso una corretta diagnosi ed un corretto utilizzo dei protocolli odontoiatrici e odontotecnici, dei restauri minimamente invasivi in composito di spessori al di sotto di mezzo millimetro, ottenendo eccellenti risultati e soprattutto duraturi nel tempo.

Buccal plate reconstruction with an intentionally exposed nonresorbable membrane: 1 year after loading results of a prospective study

Objective

The aim of this study was to investigate the barrier efect of a highdensity polytetrafluoroethylene (d-PTFE) membrane left intentionally exposed in post-extraction sockets grafted with an allograft biomaterial and removed after 5 weeks.
