Conventional vs digital composite onlays: Phases, Sequences and Considerations
For about 10 years dentists have been dealing with composite restorations, specifically onlays.
As a result of our careful and extensive research, we have carried our knowledge, gained from years of practical experience, to the digital world.
This article intends to illustrate the transition from conventional methods to digital methods. With a conventional-based mentality, it is possible to transfer one’s knowledge base to digital, as well as to evaluate and understand what the advantages of the digital world are versus the disadvantages that may occur throughout our learning curve.
In other words, it is important for us to determine if it is convenient and useful to change our current conventional methods to digital ones on our own, without the presence of selling pressure that is often bestowed upon us.
